The F Words of Fall Fashion Friday | San Jose Boudoir Photography

FALL IS FINALLY HERE!! I know I’m not the only one excited about unpacking all my fall fashions. With all the right boots, jackets, furs, hats, dresses, and scarves you are set for a fantastic season. But today I have something better in mind. What better way to start than what goes underneath all the wardrobe and what comes out in the boudoir.

For this Fashion Friday Fall edition, we will be exploring the F’s of this fun season. They’re colors, fabrics, emotions, and nature. Each individual word holds a special meaning to everyone and evokes different images. These are the images and thoughts that come to my mind.

Fuschia is the hottest fall color this year and for all the right reasons. It’s colorful and vibrant with a bold attitude all its own. Though it is a risky color it is worth how it makes every one of your features the center of your lover’s world. Whether head to toe or just a dash, it’s a color that brings out a passion other colors forgot even existed.

Floral patterns are not exclusive to flowers or even a warmer season. It is the natural beauty falling delicately from the trees after the emerald leaves have become golden. It is the lone blossom which refuses the autumn change. Let the deeper more enchanting hues inspire your best self. Let that spirit guide you when you choose the perfect floral lingerie for the boudoir.

You have an inner sexy that sores above any woman you know. There are many materials to express this part of you, but feathers are always best. Feathers are an erotic gesture meant to tickle the fancy and always leave them wanting more. So feel free as a bird to wear a simple trim or all over the body. No matter the amount the allure is unchanged.

Fierce is the feeling you get when you know you’re in control. It’s the pussycat in you aching to let the leopard come out and play. Knowing the sound of the leather stretching on your body as you bend him to you makes him break a sweat. This is a powerful word that requires a powerful outfit matched with a fearless attitude.

And leather is not the only way to evoke that inner rocker chick. Fishnet is my favorite fabric for the fiercest look. The eyes go wild with how very revealing it is. The texture is sensual, like fur it provokes a similar sensation. Comfort is always guaranteed as it moves with every twist. Feel vulnerable, unstoppable and just a little nasty all at the same time.

Fantasy comes in many forms. It comes in whatever form your heart desires most. For your lover, you can be a superhero, a belly dancer commanded by the king, a warrior princess, or even a brocade beauty waiting ready for her Lord. It is all about the character it brings out in you, for in a fantasy you are never yourself but always out of this world. Use that when you find an outfit that brings out the unreal you.

Of course, I must end the best with the last. Savage X by FENTY!! The newest, absolutely hottest must-have lingerie brand of Fall 2018 by singer, actress, makeup and fashion mogul Rhianna Fenty!! My girl RiRi is on FIRE!!!

These looks undoubtedly encompass all the F Words of Fall Fashion! These masterfully designed works of art from Fenty closed off New York Fashion Week a month ago and are still the unending talk of the world. The collection represents every woman, every curve, every color, and every unique attribute that makes a woman everything she desires in herself.

No matter the word chosen, make sure to embody it. Who cares what it means to everyone else. It only matters what it means to you because you are the only you who knows your desires. Have a splendid equinox filled with fun.

Black and white make some beautiful lingerie choices. These colors look great on every skin tone and can make a statement. But what if you want to have some color? Today I’m going to share some beautiful seasonal colored lingerie to consider for your photo shoot.

Sometimes, well most of the time, red can be pretty harsh for a photo shoot. Save the red for your bedroom and choose a deep maroon. Maroon, burgundy, whatever you choose to call it the color is gorgeous and a great choice for an autumn shoot.

Another great choice for autumn is a warm chocolate brown or even possibly a gold tone. This beautiful warm color also looks great on a variety of skin tones. Look at some pieces I found.

I absolutely love the bra & panty set in the left corner. And the chocolate balconette bra in the upper right corner is gorgeous in color and the detail in the bra is fantastic. The gold/brown toned slips are beautiful and scream fall, and I love the racerback on the long slip.
What do you think ladies? Which color would you choose? Any specific items from what I posted that catch your eye?! What would you choose for your photo shoot.

It’s the little details that make or break your whole look. Piecing different items together is a great way to achieve a specific look. A great winter piece is a poncho. Yesterday during my errands (looking for items for my dear friends new studio!) I ran across an adorable grey cable knit poncho with accent buttons. It’s lovely! Which leads me to my blog post for today.

A poncho looks great over jeans, dress pants or a skirt. Just look.

I love this look. I’m a wear jeans every day type of person and adding a poncho (along with the right shoes! Don’t forget your footwear!) can help to elevate your jean look.

Poncho & Flats

Boots are a great footwear choice, especially if you’re wearing jeans. The flats above look great too!

Plaid Poncho

If you’re a legging type person, you can easily wear a poncho and pull it off.

Wearing a skirt with a poncho looks great too.
Plaid Poncho & Over the Knee Boots

This is an accessory that you can pull off in the summer too.

I could go on and on showing you different photos but I hope you get the idea of how you can wear a poncho in different ways. I’m really loving this accessory ladies! Do you have a poncho, or two, that you wear? What’s your favorite way to wear it?

I love being able to wear the same wardrobe piece throughout different seasons, but it can be hard to transform it.  Today I’m gonna touch on different ideas on how to wear the same staple piece each season.

Your first step is to find a great staple wardrobe piece. Today I’m using a spaghetti strap dress as an example.

One Dress, Four Seasons

Let’s start with the top left look, Winter. A beautiful jewel toned heave scarf paired with a pair of knee length boots is such a great way to wear this dress during the cold season. Wearing some tights for a bit of extra warmth would be a great addition.
Spring means you can wear the dress almost without a sweater, but you know those Spring evenings can still be a bit chilly. A lightweight sweater helps to transform this look into something for this season.
Ah Summer, the time where you can really wear this without a jacket, however the jean jacket is a great option for a cooler summer day. A pair of strappy wedges helps this dress to scream summer.
Autumn, Fall, whatever you wanna call it. With a slight chill in the air, you’ll probably want to wear a light jacket for some warmth. A light scarf is a great accessory and some ankle booties are a great footwear choice. I would add some leggings too if it’s a bit cooler in your area.
What would your staple wardrobe piece be that you can transform throughout all 4 seasons? What would be your favorite ways to wear it each season? Share some photos of your ideas with me!

Fall is here ya’ll!! Holy cow is it cold when I take my oldest to school in the morning. In light of the cooler weather I want to talk to you about sweaters.

I love a comfy sweater! it can be snug, oversized, solid, striped or whatever you like. There are so many different options and so many different ways to wear a sweater. Jeans, skirt, leggings; boots, flats, heels… really, you decide!

Love the combination of the camel colored sweater along with the leopard flats.

This outfit looks so comfy and stylish! Love the addition of the scarf. Don’t forget the small details.

Don’t forget to add some color!

When looking through Polyvore this week for my inspiration, I couldn’t help but notice all the posts about a wool coat. Have you seen these? They look so warm and cozy; great for the chilly fall days and cooler winter days. What I really like is how versatile they are, and how they apparently come in a variety of colors.

This green coat is so beautiful. The color is so light and screams Spring, which can help pull you through the upcoming dark winter days. It looks stunning paired with black trousers.

This dark maroon coat compliments the soft pink of this dress very nicely, and I love the black booties paired with it.
Cold Weather Essentials: Wool Coat

Another way to wear a colored wool coat is casually, maybe for a calm evening out. The yellow of this coat looks great with the chosen leopard boots. You could even pair with a pair of leopard pumps!

However you would wear your colored wool coat, don’t forget to accessorize properly! The perfect pair of earrings or necklace can make your outfit, and that is no different when wearing a beautiful coat.

Fashion Friday – Fall Fabulous | San Jose Boudoir Photography

I love Fall! Starbucks and Peet’s tell me it’s already here with their sweet pumpkin treats, but the weather here in sunny Southern California proves otherwise. This is my fourth Fall in California and I wish I could say I miss East Coast Fall less and less, but the opposite is true. Of course, these feelings quickly fade when my old hometown is buried in snow and it’s below zero outside, but I do long for the beautiful foliage and crisp cool days.

This year I’m in luck because I’m heading to Connecticut to visit my folks next week. While it’s 88 degrees here, it’s about 68 degrees there, and I couldn’t be happier.

The irrational part of me wants to go shop for some new Fall clothes, but with a new home currently under construction, that’s probably not the best use of cash right now. Besides, my warm clothes have been hidden in the back of my closet for so long now that they’ll probably feel new anyway.

I will, however, be getting a nice Fall mani/pedi next week. I’m a little too excited about this, and already purchased my polish at Target a few days ago. (I like to use my own polish for mani/pedis before I travel so that I can easily fix any chips.) I decided to go with Essie’s Berry Naughty, which is a gorgeous deep berry, and thought it’d be fun to daydream about some new Fall duds to go with it. Here are some of my favorites:

Fabulous Fall
Even if I don’t need a whole lot of warm clothes here in California, I really love all of the rich and warm colors. What’s your favorite part of Fall fashion? Let us know in the comments:-)
