Beyond The Bedroom

Being that I am an on location photographer, I am constantly on the lookout for some amazing locations, especially for our mini marathon sessions. I recently did some brainstorming with the help of my wonderful husband. He’s introduced me to car shows and aircraft, including the love ofÂ WII Warbirds and naval ships. Let’s face it ladies, men love these things. What else do men love? Why, scantly clad, sexy woman of course! Now put the two together and what do you have? The hottest little black book EVER!

Whether you are in the military, have a loved one in the military(just imagine his surprise to receive your gift while he serves time oversees) or you think it would be just plain cool to hold your session in a vintage aircraft. Whatever your reason it is completely doable ladies, but I NEED to hear your feedback. I really want to set up some mini marathons for this spring and summer. Some of the amazing locations I have access to are:

If you are interested in any of these locations or want more informationÂ please contactÂ me asap! The more people interested in each location the more likely I can book it for a marathon session. Some locations may be available for full(private) shoots if you want a one-on-one session with me but the fee will have to be your responsibility. I will however, get you the best rate possible!

I can’t even begin to express my excitement about this opportunity to hold shoots in such amazing locations. I literally squealed with delight when I got off the phone today. Hahaha.

P.S. I think my hubby thought I was a little crazy when I told him I was going to make some calls regarding these location ideas, but man was it worth it!

Sweet and Sexy Boudoir Fashions

One of the most common questions asked by those wanting to doÂ shoot is “What should I wear?” The answer is very simple, anything that makes you feel sexy.

I’m starting a new category(you can find categories at the top of each post) called What To Wear. I’ll be posting everything from cool lingerie finds at local shops to shoes and accessories found online. You’ll see lots of fantastic ideas so you can begin planning the perfect outfits for your shoot.

Some basics- pretty bra and panty set. I think every girl feels sexy when she wears a matching set, even if it’s under jeans and a casual tee. You know it’s there, and it feels good! So don’t forget this basic essential.

Accessorize- Bring that favorite chunky necklace or floral hair piece. I love the details of feminine pieces and they add gorgeous texture to your images.

Sassy shoes- Even if you don’t normally wear heals they can do wonders for your legs during your boudoir session. Shoes can be sexy, sultry or just plain fun! Don’t have a pair? Try asking your friends, maybe you could borrow the perfect pair for your session.

Non lingerie pieces- This adorable polka dot, see through cardigan has beautiful detail and looks very alluring paired with this sexy bra and bead necklace. It also serves the added advantage of a slight cover for those who may be a little bit shy.

So check your closet and undies drawer, you may have the perfect pieces right in front of you!

Shoes Worth Photographing!

I was browsing through Zappo’s looking at some great high heals. If you know me, you know that I long for a closet full of sexy heals but alas I cannot physically wear them. I still can’t stop myself from looking and wishing.Â This saucy little pair caught my eye! It comes in multiple colors, I’m partial to the pink, turquoise and for some reason the gold ones too. How hot would these look with a sexy little negligee or bra and panty set. Smookin’ HOT is what I think!

And what’s even more awesome- the Zappo’s price tag, $44.75! Seriously, why am I cursed with such messed up little tootsies?! However the next best thing would be to photograph some sexy shoes worn by some sexy ladies. So when preparing for your shoot, don’t forget the heals!

Bringing Sassy Back

When it comes to business cards I wanted something a little different from the norm. I originally ordered some slim line cards that allowed multiple front images. I love the idea of having one business card with many different images and was very excited the day the FedEx man rang my doorbell. They were HERE at last! But as I tore open the package my excitement faded when the print quality was revealed. Skin tones were reddish-purple and blotchy. Not the sexy appealing look that I want my images or clients for that matter, to be seen! So I sent them back and began a search for another company to which I might find that business card awesomeness I so desired.

Yesterday the delay and searching paid off and once again the FedEx guy rang my bell and I raced with glee to answer the door( I cannot confirm or deny if a childlike squeal passed my lips). I fell in love at first site. The print quality was fantastic, the image looked amazing and the colors vibrant. But best of all was the sassy little design. Perfection my friends, perfection!

The hardest part about going with this card was choosing one single image, but I think the cool shape makes up for not having multiple photos per batch of cards, besides, I can always order more with different images. Now here’s something else that is pretty cool, despite their costliness, they come in small quantities and I think these would be awesome for any client who would like their own image on a card to hand out to friends. I may change them up a bit, add a session referral discount or something but when the time comes and you love your images and whole experience with Coterie, just say the word and we will add on a complimentary custom set of cards to your order! What better way to show off how hot and sassy you are than having a custom card with your image? Would having one of your favorite images on a card make you more likely to want to share your experience with others?

Well I guess I should really get back to work and stop ogling over these cards. Happy Friday everyone!
