Getting Creative | San Jose Boudoir Art Photographer
Artsy Fartsy
I have always enjoyed creating and in many different mediums. Decorating, scrapbooking, singing, writing, photography(no kidding huh?) it’s always been a big part of me. This year I want to branch out and start shooting for myself. I have lots of ideas rushing around in my head. I want to create art pieces and experiment with layering photographs and elements. Maybe even sell prints– if I am any good at it, lol. I want to play in photoshop to create unique art pieces, heck maybe even offer specialized art pieces to clients!? Regardless of my ambitions one has to start somewhere. The other day I found an image from a play shoot of my lovely friend Miss P and decided to have some fun with it. This was a really, really simple overlay technique and I played a little more with blending and actions. I love the softness and how it turned out. I even shared it on my favorite boudoir forums for other photographers to critique, and they did and I edited some more. (Thanks everyone!)
So here is the finished image I am really happy with how it turned out, but art is subjective and that’s okay.
I would love some feedback on what you think about this finished image and would you as a client, have any interest in having a custom boudoir or beauty art piece made from one of your images?
Have a fabulous Thursday everyone!
I prefer a little more definition aka “clarity”
the photo exudes mystery , and that’s enticing , as ever.
my only real issue is her right shoulder and the couch have no separation, it’s hard to see where one stops and another starts.
While critiques can sound very negative, I do want it clear that I like the image very much
(she has great lips).
Thanks Bob! I am always grateful for feedback, so thank you! On my monitor there is separation, so it could be a difference in screen brightness, which is one of the reasons I give clients a print of every digital file! Printed images look so much better than digital. Haha.
Lovely but I do think the background and right side of the model are a bit too bright. Very nice.
Thanks Steve! As per my response to Bob’s comment, it’s not too bright on my monitor, which is calibrated to my labs. It is very soft though but that was part of the what I did in Photoshop.
I love it! I would only offer it as a bigger size to clients though. I can’t imagine wanting it as a 5×7, but take it up to 24×36 or something on a grand scale and I would not be able to say no to it. What woman doesn’t want to be a piece of art?
