What to Wear Wednesday | Campbell Los Gatos Bay Area Boudoir Photographer

I love it when ladies share where they’re getting some of their fantastic lingerie. Frederick’s of Hollywood has some fantastic things right now that could work for a bridal boudoir session or for an “any reason” boudoir session.

Most large malls have a Frederick’s inside so it’s nice to be able to go in and try pieces on. Sometimes, o most of the time, lingerie is cut different than normal sizes so it’s best to take a few sizes into the fitting room with you to see what fits your body best.

This is a fantastic bra set. The detail of this is amazing. I love how the bra is cut to show a bit of underboob, and that the garters gather straps gather then cross each other.

This is another spectacular bra set. I love how the bra has the lace that goes up and over the shoulder but then leaves the back open. And the panties with the attached garter belt with the peek a boo back is great detail. You could do the blue set for your “something blue” for your photo shoot!

What about just a robe with some panties, your veil and wedding shoes?! Those make for some smoking hot photos.

If a chemise or babydoll is more your lingerie type, of course there are options for you too!

I am loving that nude lace color! It’s available on several of their lingerie styles right now and paired with the nude stockings I think it’s amazing.

Lace bras are a hot trend right now, and I can see why. They’re beautiful! Let’s talk about theÂ longline bralette.

These are lace bras that go down further than a regular bra. Depending on your style, comfort level, or event you may even be able to pull one off as a top.Â I know, that sounds a bit odd but let me share some photos with you.

Wear it under a blazer for a chic look for a night out.

Or without a blazer for a confident look.

What to Wear Wednesday | San Jose Willow Glen Bay Area Boudoir Photographer

School is starting this week for most of our kids, and the weather has turned a bit cooler these past few mornings. Fall is around the corner but you know we always get a bit of a warm streak. Cool California mornings that warm up mid afternoon. It can be tough to figure out what to wear on those days but I’ve got some ideas for you.

Shorts are pretty much a must, but of course whatever length is up to you. I prefer Bermuda type shorts that hit around my knee.

If you have a casual day try pairing your shorts with a hoodie and sneakers.

Or try a colorful oversized sweater with a tee or tank underneath.

Meeting some friends for lunch? Pair a crocheted sweater, shorts and some gladiator sandals for a put together look that’ll keep the chill off in the morning but won’t be super hot in the afternoon.

A jean jacket is a great option. Try pairing it with a pair of tan shorts and a fun graphic tee.

But of course your jean jacket doesn’t have to be the traditional blue; choose a black jacket and pair it with some fantastic flats.

Have fun with your wardrobe! Use layers to dress for the weather but keep in mind to put the whole outfit together as a cohesive look. You don’t want to loose the look you’ve set out to achieve once you take a layer off!

I am not the type of girl who wears skirts just because. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I am very much a jeans and t-shirt wearing gal. I do however enjoy dressing up when the occasion calls for it, and I appreciate pieces of wardrobe that can be worn many different ways from formal to casual.

A pencil skirt is a great option for putting outfits together. Depending on how you style them they can be a fantastic look for office attire, date night, ladies night out, or casual day at the beach or maybe even a concert! I have a dress that fits like a pencil skirt on the bottom and it is my go to favorite little black dress. There is something about the way a pencil skirt hugs and the hips and through the legs that makes me feel sexy. And I do believe that this silhouette looks great on every body shape. I’m telling you, something about the shape of it is very sexy ladies. Oh, and just imagine wearing this skirt with some stilettos and a bra (or braless!) for your photo shoot! Smokin’ hot ladies!

Let me show you some ways to wear a pencil skirt at an office or for a professional job.

You can choose a gorgeous colored skirt and pair it with a complimentary top. If your job requires you to wear a blazer this skirt pairs perfectly with one.

A wrap pencil skirt is another great option for a professional look.

A patterned skirt is a great look for work,

or for a casual day.

What to Wear Wednesday | Santa Cruz Los Gatos Bay Area Boudoir Photographer

I love a dress that it a bit longer than normal; a tea length dress. These usually hit mid-calf and I personally find them a bit more comfortable than above the knee dresses.

Tea length dresses have a retro feel to them with their cut and shape, but they do come in different styles. Let’s take a look at some.

I’m guessing those are the types of dresses you think of when I saw retro and tea length. I love this style of dress, however if you have good child bearing hips like myself these don’t flatter your shape. Trust me.

I do have a black dress like this, that I absolutely adore and is my go to LBD.

I love this one below! It has a great flow to it.

A tea length dress can be a great summer dress to wear to work and could transition to a night out.

You can find a formal tea length dress too, which would look fabulous for any upscale event.

And possibly my favorite way to wear a tea length dress would be for your wedding! I find tea length wedding dresses beautiful and if I had to redo my wedding, it would be a serious consideration for me.

What is better than soft, cozy pajamas? Soft, cozy pajamas that you can also bring and wear at your boudoir photo shoot!

Now, I’m not talking about some long pants and long sleeved ratty shirts, even though they be your most comfortable pair of pj’s. Two piece pajamas can be comfortable and can be sexy for your photo shoot.

Look at this amazing pajama set. I’m seriously considering adding this to my closet. It looks so comfortable and I love the detail in the neckline.

Now of course you don’t have to go with something like I posted, choose something that is more your and your style! That’s probably one of the most important things when choosing items for your photo shoot; if you’re not comfortable in it you are going to think of that every time you see your photos. Who wants that?!! If something like this is more your style, go for it! Danea will still help you look and feel amazing.

I hope I’ve helped you consider some ideas a bit out of the box for your photo shoot. There’s nothing that says you have to purchase anything new, or bring lingerie (even though most women do). Choose what your comfortable in!

Lace dresses have been trending lately, and I love showing you what’s in style currently. I love that there are many different shapes and styles of lace dresses out there, so you can definitely find something that suits you.

I love that you can find a beautiful bold colored lace dress to wear.

And I love that you can find a long sleeve style.

This two tone dress is amazing!

If you prefer color over neutrals but don’t was something super bright, check out this gorgeous green lace dress.

But if you do prefer something bright, check out this pink dress.

Maybe you prefer just a hint of lace instead of a full lace dress, don’t worry, there’s a dress for you too.

I love that this dress is a bit longer than most, and that it’s lined then sheer at the bottom. This dress would be a great choice for a spring or summer date night.
