Starting The New Year Right!

It’s been busy here behind the scenes and as we are getting ready to put 2011 behind us, I have taken some time to review the year. I decided to make some changes to our price menu by adding boudoir packages with the favorite products from past clients. By bundling the session, hair/makeup and products into one, we can save time on decisions so you can sit back and enjoy the experience worry free. PLUS, I can offerÂ some wonderful savings to you all and let’s face it, that’s always awesome! There will still be the option to add different products to your final order so you are sure to get all the items you like or you can stick with the option to go a la carte… whatever makes you happy. It’s a win-win for everyone!

January is shaping up to be a busy month already but I wanted to offer a Valentine’s Special to kick of the new year. Sweetheart photo sessions are very limited so I can guarantee delivery of all finished product by Feb 14th!

The Studio Is Ready

Dec 2nd, we held our Boudoir Coterie photography studio launch party and it was so much fun! Thank you so much to all the wonderful ladies who attended, making the night a success! It’s always nice meeting new faces and sharing what I do. Guests sipped champagne, enjoyed cupcakes, mingled and even got to see a live demo, thanks to my very brave and beautiful friend Devon, who was willing to be my model for this mini boudoir shoot. What was even cooler(for me at least) was that another friend, Ramona, took some snapshots of everyone, including me in action. She managed to snap a few images that show my angle during the photo shoot and I can show the finished image- how cool is that!?

Here are a few finished boudoir images from that demo- now I will be honest I much prefer natural light and this was a night time, one light demo, slightly out of my comfort zone(not to mention I had a freakin’ audience…Â not nerve wracking at all… hahaha). But in all seriousness, I had a blast! So again, THANK YOU to everyone who came… and especially to my amazing husband who put all the finishing touches on the studio the night before and to my wonderful assistant Hope, who helped pull the party together! â™¥

I’m tingly with excitement!

Alright ladies now is your chance… and before you get all shy and bashful, just note that you don’t have to be a size two to rock the boudoir world. In my studio everyone is sexy and gorgeous, so take a deep breath and give it a shot(even if you’re not chosen you’ll get a sweet little gift just for being brave enough to try). 😉

Without further adieu…

So here’s a little more info and a recap of the details:

You MUST be at least 18 years of age.
There is no cash value for any prizes awarded.
You MUST be willing to sign a model release to use your images online, in print and in promotions.
You will NOT be asked to shoot nudes, it’s about your comfort level and we will NEVER cross that line.
You absolutely, positively need to be available for the test shoot on Jan 7th. No exceptions.
Past clients are more than welcome to enter, why the heck not, right!?
The three sessions will take place throughout the year and we will of course, work around your schedule. Please doÂ not enter if you are hesitant about this or know you will not be available to do three shoots during the 2012 calendar year.
Any referral credits you earn can go towards purchases you would like to make of images from your sessions or towards your own custom session at full price.
Voting will take place online. I am still looking for a blog poll option but it may happen using FB image “Likes”. I want something that restricts multiple votes from one person. 😉
You do not have to lose “that last 10-20lbs” to look fabulous… trust me, you look gorgeous just the way you are, right now!
We reserve the right to veto votes, and if need be, cancel the contest or void the chosen winner if circumstances change. But we don’t want to do anything negative so let’s keep this clean, fun and drama free ladies!

*** The question about what type of images are needed for submitting has been brought up. The answer is any sort of image that let’s me see what you look like, I don’t care if you have makeup on or not, are standing with your ex and his pet turtle, or wearing clown shoes. I just need to see what you look like, just an idea. Why does it not matter if it’s an awesome shot of yourself? Because ladies, I am going to take your picture and create gorgeous shots for the voting process. seriously all I need to see is facial features and body type. Easy peasy!

My Apologies

I have neglected my blog this past month and for that I apologize! I have so many beautiful women to blog about but a very tight crunch on time. So for now I will share a recent favorite. Not only do I love this image but I LOVE her outfit! Shhhhhh, just between you and me, I loved it so much I scoured eBay in desperation to find one for myself. I didn’t find this one exactly, but I did find one similar in black. I shall not give up quest for this sexy pink number!

Studio Launch Party| San Jose Boudoir Photographer

It’s that time!

This Friday, Dec 2nd we will be hosting our studio launch party & open house! Everyone is welcome to come on by. Enjoy some treats, see the digs, meet some of my posse and discover what a session is really like. We’ll have drawings for some great giveaways, booking specials and even a live demo on how a session goes down– thanks to a lovely and brave friend who is willing to model for me! (So excited with this part) Even the wonderful Melanie from Dutchess Intimates Boutique will be there to show off some of her latest lingerie favorites. 🙂

The party starts at 6pm, the session demo will be at 7:30 and all drawings will be at 9pm. You do not have to be present to win(but you do have to be present to enter).

So upset right now, people!

Things have been amazingly busy, hence the lack of posts here, but after this week I would finally have some time to breathe. I have been working with some amazing and beautiful clients and for that I am so thankful! However this morning I awoke to discover that my personal FB page, and fan pages linked to this account have been dissabled. Poof… just like that 5.5 years of memories, photos and friends, GONE. Why? Not really sure except that one of my sneak peek images may have been considered porn? Um, I don’t show any private parts at all in myÂ posted images, nor are my images overly sexual in nature. Sensual, yes. Pornographic, heck no! However, the last image I posted the girl was clearly topless, but with nothing showing… you look amazing Miss M!

Losing my fan page is not such a big deal, I have this site and blog, a way to communicate with my clients and those of you who are interested. But losing my personal page is very, very hard to deal with and I certainly hope that Facebook get’s their act together and allows me to put it back up. I have reconnected with so many old friends, and ALL of our family members are out of state and in Canada. *sniff* I mean seriously, this image made them disable a whole freakin account!? Really Facebook? The worst part is that someone most likely reported this. If you were on my friend list, why would you report me? Not a very friendly thing to do. This image was not posted on my personal account however I did share it in a private group of boudoir photographers, maybe someone there reported me? Why join a boudoir photog group if this image upsets you? I am at a total loss!

Or maybe it was because I sent out an event invite to a bunch of local friends to come check out the new studio on Dec 2nd? Why not just say no thanks instead of having my account deleted?

If they do not reinstate my account then I will not be starting over with facebook. It’s saddens me but it is not worth my time. To delete an account without warningÂ is so not cool, especially over something like this.

P.S. If you are a friend of mine and read this, can you please share this on FB so other friends will see what’s going on and know why I just suddenly disappeared. Sigh. Thanks.
