I’m sure enjoying our Texas visit so far. The serene landscape, a front porch swing and the joy the boys have playing with the dogs and exploring the large yard. It just happens that there’s a record breaking heat wave, I twisted my ankle and mosquitoes think I’m the sweetest thing- but those are minor and won’t put a damper on my plans.

The other morning I hobbled out to snap a few photos of Grandma’s flowers. I had being eying a magnolia blossom from my bedroom window that was just about to bloom. When I saw it had opened I grabbed my camera and off I went. So pretty. The only thing I will admit to NOT liking- editing on my laptop. Blah. I can never tell if the lighting is correct.

In Other News…

As of July first I will be applying a slight price increase on my session fees and some products. I found an amazing new album company that I am so excited to use(gorgeous two tones leather and cameo covers) but with luxury comes cost so 8×8 and 10×10 album prices will be going up. So will the digital file collections. BUT there is some good news, if you book your session BEFORE June 25 you will lock in our current prices. Booked sessions can take place up to 3 months out so if you book now you can have your September session at current prices- now that’s good news!

Tomorrow we are off, and by “we” I mean my two boys and I. Unfortunately daddy must stay home and work while the rest of us head off to Austin, Texas to visit with family. I’m looking forward to it, but I am also looking forward to finally getting to sit back and play with this site(Oh yeah, and my children too *snort*). So many fun features that I cannot wait to add and adjust. Stay tuned for all the wonderful updates that I hope you will enjoy as much as I.

The newsletter went out yesterday with some fantastic announcements, including a new session package and an upcoming San Jose Boudoir Marathon. I like to give my subscribers a heads up before I announce special events and details here on the blog, so if you are not yet a subscriber, scroll to the bottom of the page and add yourself, it’s quick and easy and I never share info. That’s a promise!

Don’t think that my being out of town will put me in hiding. I’ll still be available by email, phone and FaceBook, to schedule upcoming sessions. So don’t hesitate to contact me!

Last, I’m thinking that next summer I should talk Grandpa into letting me schedule a boudoir car shoot in Austin. He may not have anything in pink(unless you count these flame tips) but he sure does have a cool collection. Corvette…Malibu…T-Bucket…oh the possibilities! Anyone in? 😉

This makes me smile. This, gets me excited with anticipation. All the calls have been made and soon all these wonderful products will be in the hands of their new owners. From digital files to prints and even a GORGEOUS canvas(as seen here wrapped in the back). I love how cheerful my office is when filled with so many colorful bags and boxes. However, I have to admit that when the final package leaves I will breathe a sigh of relief to have wrapped up all my current client orders before heading out of town. But for now, here’s a peek at some of the packaged goodies.

If I’m going to be honest, and why not really as it’s always enjoyable to poke a little fun at ones self, I may have made a fool out of myself during this session(although I’m pretty sure I do so during every session *snort*). You see there I was up on my step stool with this tall, beautiful blond in front of me and for a moment I was taken over by some dude from the seventies with bad shaggy hair, an unbuttoned plaid shirt, way too tight jeans and a shady looking mustache. Yes people, I looked at this girl in all my seventies cliché glory and said “Wow, you’ve got legs that go on for miles.” Thankfully I refrained from using the word “babe” anywhere in that statement, but as soon as I said it I started to laugh, because it does indee-dee-oh sound like a cheesy & pathetic pick up line. I was not however, trying to pick her up and was wholeheartedly blown away by the gorgeous gams on this gal!

So Miss H, thanks for having a sense of humor. Your shoot was so much fun and I know you’re going to love your images.

(The dork inside me says “Hubba Hubba” and bites my wrist in true Squiggy fashion. LOL)
