We are officially in Spring and one spring trend I keep seeing around is colored denim. I love all the different colors and hues and colored denim can be very versatile in how you wear it. Today I’m going to show some different ways to wear colored denim.

Let’s start off with a gorgeous Spring color, Pink.

Untitled #1369

This beautiful dusty rose colored denim looks great paired with a soft pink blouse and a traditional blue denim jacket. And the dusty rose colored shoes really complete this look.
Of course there is always the soft, baby pink colored denim.
Spring Trend: Colored Denim

I love this soft color paired with this perfect Spring top. The color of the purse and the jeweled sandals complete this look.
This color also looks great paired with a white top.
Denim color pastel

With this outfit I would probably go with a different shoe, something strappy and fun.
Another gorgeous Spring color for denim is green. Beautiful Spring green obviously! I love this color, and pairing with a striped top is a perfect option.

Green denim looks great paired with this blue blazer too!

Coral is another fantastic color choice and is easy to pair with a variety of floral spring tops.

Spring doesn’t always have to be about soft, pastel colors though. This bold colored outfit is still a great option for Spring, and for colored denim.

Do you have any colored denim in your closet? What colors are they? What do you pair them with? Does this help you with new ways to wear colored denim? I look forward to hearing from you!

Sometimes it can be difficult to find lingerie that isn’t trendy or in style at the moment. These trends and styles don’t necessarily fit into everyone’s taste or even comfort level. So, have you ever thought about purchasing your lingerie from Etsy? Yup, I’m serious. These are hand made items and I can *almost* guarantee that with enough browsing you will find something that you will love. There are so many suggestions for lingerie when you search. Plus size, bridal, erotic, sexy and so many other suggestions to help you find what you are looking for.

Let me share some of my favorites I have found.

If you are looking for a bra and panty set, these ones caught my eye.

Etsy bra & panty sets

I love how the top right reminds me of a peacock; this is something different and really unique. The other two have a vintage feel to them. I love the satin and gorgeous jewel toned of the purple set and how the black set is a high waisted panty with that detail of the lace at the hip.
You know how I’m always talking about details really making the piece, I love the detail on these pieces.
Etsy lingerie sets

Look at the buttons on the top left set! It is the tiniest addition that can upgrade an outfit, even lingerie. The tiny little bows on the other pieces and the mix of fabrics is gorgeous detail too.
Etsy even has some gorgeous vintage pieces if today’s styles aren’t your cup of tea.

I wasn’t kidding when I said I can *almost* guarantee you will find something that suites you, whether it be for your upcoming boudoir shoot or for private eyes in your bedroom. Take a look around and show me what you found that you love. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

If you know me, you know I love to wear jeans. I am fortunate enough to not have to wear a uniform everyday or have a dress code for work. I wear jeans every day. I am a very casual type dresser, but sometimes when I’m going out with my friends I like to look nice, who doesn’t! I still typically wear jeans, but wearing a nice blouse and adding some details is what is going to really change your look.

I wanna show you some styles I found while browsing around Polyvore.

Untitled #2137

I love this for a few different reasons. Beautiful colored jeans, a gorgeous white long tunic top, nice embellished sandals and of course accessories. The silver cuff bracelet is a perfect addition to this outfit and I think you could really pull off any pair of earrings.
// you can't see past my blinders //

If there’s a bit of a chill in the air, you can still pull off a sweater and a dressier look. Make sure you are choosing a nice sweater, like this knit soft green open front, paired with this incredibly soft pink blouse under helps to pull off this casual dressy jean look.
Untitled #2214

Maybe you’re needing a bit more of a dressier look, but it’s still a jean type event or dinner, pull out a gorgeous blouse and pair it with some high heels. Add in some nice earrings, a nice purse and I would add a bracelet, and you’re all set for a fun night out.
Denim & Blush

This last look is super causal, but not your t-shirt casual jean look. A nice pleated top can be great with jeans, and paired with some heeled sandals this look is a great choice for a night out or weekend event.
How do you like to dress up your jeans? A favorite blouse or pair of heels? Some special jewelry?

Holy cow, I’ve stumbled across a beautiful, delicate, romantic lingerie company, Amoralle. I’m so in love with these pieces, and more. I will warn you though, this is not a cost friendly line, but wait until you see! I’m so excited to share. Let’s look at some gowns first.

Eeek!! I really am loving this, in case I haven’t already said that. These amazing pieces would look great on any body type. There is such a soft, romantic feel to these. And the blush color is fantastic and would be great for a bridal shoot.

Next up let’s look at some bodysuits. So many to choose from!

I love that all the garters are detachable for those who may not want to wear them. The lace again is so beautiful and delicate. I love how the neckline of the two black and sheer bodysuits are different to fit everyone’s style.

One of their special pieces that I came across is this

So pretty! I love it paired with the high waisted black panties but really you could pair it with anything.

You can visit the pieces I found here. Take a peek and tell me what you see that you love! Can’t wait to hear what you think about this brand and what your favorite pieces are.

This week I heard something on a TV commercial that I knew would be perfect to share. It was a commercial for a department store, and they said something about blush being the new neutral. I love this idea! I think blush being considered neutral is nice because when you think about neutral colors, at least when I do, I think black, grey and white. But blush, that’s got a bit of something to it. Let me show you some great ways to wear it as a neutral.

You can jazz it up with a fun coat.

You can pair it with a gorgeous green

And of course you can always pair with another neutral.

Blush looks great paired with jeans too.
...blushing silver

Denim & Blush

Of course you don’t have to pair it with another color at all.

What do you think ladies? Do you have anything blush in your wardrobe? Do you consider it a neutral? What do you pair it with, if anything?

Let’s chat a bit about hair today, and some of the 2017 hot hair trends. There were about 10 that I could find people talking about regularly and today I’m going to highlight a few of my favorite ones.

First up: pastels! These gorgeous soft colors can really be done on hair natural hair color, although of course it’s going to be easier to do on a naturally lighter hair color vs. a darker color that needs to be bleached first.

2017 pastel hair

I really love this trend and might try it for myself, although I am discouraged by the upkeep since I have naturally dark hair. I like though that this color trend can easily be done as highlights if you wish as opposed to dying your whole head.
The second hair trend to show today is Rose Gold hair. A friend recently did this color and it was quite pretty, although she didn’t think it really went well with her skin tone so that is something to keep in mind. But you may not know how you feel about it until you’ve actually tried it (that goes with any hair color!).
2017 Rose Gold hair trend

What a range of different beautiful shades! It really again does depends on what your natural hair color is. I am really loving the middle and lower right photos as I could probably pull those off from my dark hair.
Next is a color trend that I encourage to do only if you start out light or as a blonde. I’ve dyed my hair blonde before, and the upkeep and end results were difficult. Often I would end up an orangey blonde and that was not pretty lol. But this warm buttery blonde is something you can easily achieve starting off with light hair.

This trend has warm tones added to it so it’s not such a shock as our next 2017 hair trend.
Platinum!
2017 platinum hair

Can we just talk about the one with the purple roots first? I love that one! Ok, this is an amazingly gorgeous color that I personally feel suits certain people. You have to have the attitude, for lack of better word, to pull this color off. What I appreciate is that I was able to find some styles for dark hair; the bottom left for example. I think that is a gorgeous way to add some of this platinum to your naturally dark hair.
Last, but certainly not least, let’s talk about the 2017 Pantone color of the year. Oh what, you don’t know what it is yet? It’s called Greenery.
2017 Pantone color hair

A bit shocking, huh?! It’s a very pretty color, not one I would personally choose for my hair though. If you are thinking of this color I do encourage you to go based off of your hair length. If you have a shorter cut go forward with coloring the whole thing. If you have longer locks you may want to do something as in the left photo; only the bottom or maybe some strands of it. You don’t want to look like you’re getting ready for a costume party.
What do you like? Are you going to see your stylist soon for one of these hot 2017 hair trends?

Bringing it back to lingerie talk today ladies. I’m going to focus on some curvy body friendly items.

There are so many gorgeous items you can find to wear for your boudoir session. Today I’m focusing on items I found online at Lane Bryant. What’s especially nice in this case is that you can go down to your local mall (most malls have a Lane Bryant) and actually try these pieces on.

Let’s take a look at some of the things that caught my eye.

Lane Bryant

Some women are not comfortable baring a lot for their boudoir shoot, and that is ok! There is nothing that states you need to come in with some itty bitty bra and panty set. Everyone is comfortable in something different so choose what you like! If you are unsure bring lots of options, or heck, even schedule a wardrobe consultation with Danea before your shoot! Back to those pieces though; I love the peach outfit. The black lace overlay just gives it a little something extra and you know their bras are well made to support a larger chest. The chest cut out of the black chemise gives a nice little hint of cleavage and the cream lace over the flowy chiffon fabric is a beautiful detail.
Lane Bryant

If you are more comfortable in a bra and panty set, check out these two. I always love the idea of a garter belt and stockings, but maybe that’s just me! The bra has that beautiful red strap that just adds a little something extra around the chest. And the black set, well that happens to be my favorite of anything I found. I love how the panels seem to be a bit sheer, giving a little hint of something, and then how it ties around the neck. I’m a sucker for those little details and they really can change an ordinary lingerie outfit from blah to stunning.
Lane Bryant

Some of the last things I found are a combo of some two piece sets and some bodysuits. Again everything I’m sharing has something added that just makes it stand out. Lace detail in the white and black bras; lace in the apricot bodysuit; the halter neck bodysuit that ties at the nape of the neck; the large keyhole of the bra and the skirt with garters.
What’s your favorite or what can you see yourself wearing for your shoot? What; you don’t have one booked?! What are you waiting for; call her today!
