It’s the little details that make or break your whole look. Piecing different items together is a great way to achieve a specific look. A great winter piece is a poncho. Yesterday during my errands (looking for items for my dear friends new studio!) I ran across an adorable grey cable knit poncho with accent buttons. It’s lovely! Which leads me to my blog post for today.

A poncho looks great over jeans, dress pants or a skirt. Just look.

I love this look. I’m a wear jeans every day type of person and adding a poncho (along with the right shoes! Don’t forget your footwear!) can help to elevate your jean look.

Boots are a great footwear choice, especially if you’re wearing jeans. The flats above look great too!

If you’re a legging type person, you can easily wear a poncho and pull it off.

Wearing a skirt with a poncho looks great too.

This is an accessory that you can pull off in the summer too.

Layering season is rapidly approaching and I want to touch on a staple that should be in your closet; the vest. Along with the scarf I talked about a few weeks ago, the vest is a great way to jazz up an outfit. There are so many different ways to wear your vest, well ok there is really only one way to wear it, but there are many different looks you can achieve by what you wear underneath.

J.crew flannel shirt & vest with green Hunter boots

A long sleeve flannel shirt looks great paired with a quilted vest, along with a pop of color from some rain boots.

A denim shirt also looks great under a quilted vest.

A pattern vest looks great paired with a solid shirt, or even a striped shirt.

Striped top, herringbone vest & pointed flats

A turtleneck sweater looks great with a vest.

And almost any sweater looks perfect under a vest.

Â Even a pattern sweater is ok!

And the ultimate layered vest look is a pattern shirt, with a sweater over showing the cuffs and shirt tails, with a vest over top. This is amazing!

Fashion Friday | Santa Cruz San Jose Bay Area Boudoir Photographer

This past weekend at the Curvy Girl Lingerie Show, I was introduced to a new (to me) name in lingerie, Coquette. Holy Cow ladies! This is some beautiful stuff! Sexy, sensual, glamorous, and even a bit naughty! Take a look at some of my favorite pieces, found on the Curvy Girl Lingerie website.

Up first a gorgeous Merlot color babydoll. The top of this is stunning! I love the little cap sleeves and the almost fully sheer top. The little ribbon trim at the bottom with the bow is a nice addition.

Another piece I saw while browsing was this beautiful purple chemise. Miss Saucye West is wearing the piece named after her in this photo, and this is what she modeled at the fashion show. It is so stunning in person ladies! And I think you can see by the photo how beautiful this chemise is. From the detail around the bust to the black trim around the piece itself, this might end up being one of your favorites!

Another fun piece I saw was this waist clincher. I love that it ties up the back, so it will easily accommodate any size. And adding the ruffle panties gives it a little something extra.

Last, but certainly not least is a fabulous black brocade corset. Paired with booty shorts this is a great look for your bedroom, or a boudoir shoot!

When you think of doing a boudoir shoot, you probably start thinking about lingerie; what you currently have that can work, or maybe that special little outfit you’ve had your eye on for that just right occasion. But what if I said you didn’t need all lingerie for your boudoir session?! Would you think I’m crazy?

Seriously ladies, you don’t need to have all lingerie! Danea can work wonders with any special item that you bring in. Let me show you some ideas!

A sweater can be just as sexy as your favorite lingerie. And what’s nice about bringing in a piece of regular clothing is that every time your significant other sees you in it, they’ll think about those sexy, sensual photos you took!

A simpleÂ accessoryÂ can really add toÂ the look of your outfit. I’m thinking of something that we all probably have in our closet, just sitting there waiting to be worn. Some are to keep you warm, but mainly this accessory is for the look it gives. Know what I’m talking about?

Scarfs make one of the best fashion accessories. Since there are so many styles and types of scarfs they are an easy choice for a go to accessory.

You can find lightweight choices to jazz up a summer outfit

Or a nice, warm, chunky scarf to wear in the winter

Scarfs look really good with those tall boots sitting in your closet waiting to wear this winter.

There are so many different ways to tie a scarf for different looks too. Sometimes tying it differently can add to the look of your outfit. Here is something I ran across on Pinterest and have saved for reference (click on the photo to be taken to the website).

This site is seriously the know all on how to tie a scarf. I never realized how many different ways, I have my old standby that I always use.

You can pick up a scarf at any store and they are fairly inexpensive. Just like everything though you can purchase some pricey ones! Go with what you like. Solid, pattern, chunky, lightweight, infinity, blanket; whatever you like! That’s what your wardrobe is about. Finding things you like and wearing them so you feel good.

We all have that one outfit that is simple and understated but makes us feel amazing. A few pieces put together can help lift your spirits, or at least mine it does mine!

It can be something as simple as wearing your favorite pair of heels with a t-shirt and jeans, or a sexy new bra and panty set under a typical every day work outfit. You’ll know you’ve got something sexy going on underneath and it can really bring a smile to your face.

I love this set below. Simple and understated, but man those heels really help pull this outfit out of an ordinary day look.

Other accessories can help bring that spark to a normal outfits; a new statement necklace, or a new purse, maybe even a gorgeous new color on your lips.

Let’s bring it on back to some beautiful lingerie on the blog today ladies. It can be tough to find a style of lingerie that fits every body shape, but there is one universal piece and that’s what we’re gonna chat about today.

A chemise is a beautiful slip piece of lingerie. Usually made of satin, these are soft and delicate, but can also be lacy and see through. You can usually find a matching robe or kimono to accompany your chemise.

A matching robe can really add to the look of your chemise. Some woman aren’t comfortable in just the chemise so the accompanying robe is a great choice.

I feel this type of lingerie fits every body style because it’s not figure hugging for those who do not want that look, but for those that do there certainly are lace pieces. The straps are adjustable on these so if you need a bit of extra support you can adjust them for your girls.

The satin chemise and robe are a great choice for your boudoir shoot and for the bedroom (or behind closed doors). This is a very popular style for bridal lingerie too. Don’t forget your stilettos!
