I hate to be the one to break it to you, but swimsuit season is right around the corner. Today I wanted to highlight swimsuits. Recently in the news there has been some praise for Target for using plus size models in their swimsuit campaigns. I wanted to share some of their plus size suits I found online.

I love Target. It’s convenient, there’s one on every corner, and they have cute stuff. I enjoy featuring things that you can get locally; that when you see it you can go to your local store and try it on for yourself. So please, if you see something here today that you like, see if your local store has it and go try it on! Take a few sizes into the fitting room with you as every clothing manufacturer cuts their sizes differently.

First off I’ll show you some one pieces. Not everyone is comfortable in a bikini or tankini, so these suits are for you if you are more comfortable in a 1 piece.

plus size 1 piece

If there’s one thing that you should have learned by now from me, it’s about adding detail to your look. I love these suits above for their detail. The white crocheting around the bust is amazing. The black crochet and the straps of the top suit add that little bit extra, and I love the contrast of the solid black and the summery pattern in the left photo.
Ok, so what if a 2 piece is your style, but you prefer a tankini 2 piece rather than a bikini? Of course I’ve got you covered there as well.
plus size tankini

Summery colors, halter type straps, flowy comfortable fabric, and some extra glitz are why I chose these tankinis. I like that you can mix and match these pieces. There are many different styles of bottoms to choose from so you really can pick your own style and make it unique.
And for those that prefer a bikini, here’s my choices for you.
plus size 2 piece

The back of the top bikini?!!! Wow I love it. Again it’s just that little detail that really makes an outfit and a bathing suit is no different. I love the tropical print of the left suit and the contrast of the two different patterns of the right suit.
Most of us loath this upcoming swimsuit season, but get out there and try some different patterns on! Finding one that fits well, no matter what the size says on the label, will make you feel more comfortable. And finding one that is cute just adds to that!
What’s your favorite of the suits today? Do you prefer a patterned swimsuit or a solid color? Bikini, tankini or one piece?

I try to stay away from sharing things that are trending, but I really like this one today and like how versatile this trending item can be. It’s a lace dress, ladies. They are so beautiful and come in so many different styles.

There are beautiful lace dresses in short or long lengths, and of course come in various colors. Let me share some of the few favorites I found browsing online.

If you prefer a longer dress, look at these.

lace dresses

I am really loving that black dress! My favorite thing about it is where it hits on the leg; I love the classic look of a dress that hits right below the knee. I also love how both the blue and black dresses have a bit of extra unlined lace at the bottom. The light pink dress is another great option for a lace dress. This one has a bit more of a swinging type skirt but still has that beautiful lace detail.
If you prefer a short dress, look at these options.
short lace dresses

These all still have some beautiful details, as the should! I love the eyelash lace trim on the far left blue dress, and how the black and far right pink dress have that unlined lace at the bottom. I love the addition of the tie on the top middle dress. It’s such a simple addition but really makes the dress. And the bottom middle dress is a beautiful figure hugging lace dress.
One nice thing about a style that is trending is that you can find one within your price range since most stores carry them. Just by looking online I’ve found some at Target, Macy’s, and Nordstrom.
Do you have a lace dress? Do you love one that I posted? Let me know!

Today we’re gonna talk about something not very practical for everyday wear, but you hear a lot about it this time of year. The Ugly Sweater. Many offices and friends have parties for who can wear the ugliest sweater. Personally I feel like any Christmas or Holiday type printed sweater is now classified as an Ugly Sweater, whether it is truly ugly or not. While your sweater may be unsightly, that doesn’t mean that your whole outfit needs to be awful (Unless you want it to be!). Let’s look at some ways to style your ugly sweater.

This one of course caught my eye.

Ugly Chirstmas Sweater.. Ms. Scrooge

The sweater may announce your idea here, but the outfit itself is not bad. Some spiked ankle booties and colored skinny jeans bring this sweater into an everyday outfit.
Try pairing your ugly sweater with a cute, flirty skirt.
CHRISTMAS TIME

You can always dress it up a bit more with some gorgeous colored heels.

And of course you can always just own the ugly-ness and put together an overall ugly outfit.

What does your favorite ugly sweater look like? How do you like to wear it? Do you attend a party for ugly sweaters?
Stay warm in your ugly sweater ladies!

Have I every fully shared my love of Target with you guys? It’s hard not to love this store. There is one thing I don’t love about it, that being how damn easy it is to spend money and end up leaving the store with things that you don’t need. Any way, today I want to share some items you can find at your local Target. There are so many things but I’m gonna focus on boots and lingerie today. A stunning combo, right?!

Booties are again hot this fall, and there are so many stunning pairs out there. These are of course some of my favorite pairs that I found while browsing.

Target booties

I love these! The ability to fold and unfold them can give your outfit a completely different look. And just think, you only have to pay for one pair of shoes!
Target booties

The grey color of this pair is beautiful, and I love that they don’t have a super high heel. Ankle boots are a great type of bootie.
Target wedge booties

If you like wearing wedges then this bootie might be the one for you. The side zipper makes them easy so slip on and the wedge gives it a cute look.
The last few pairs I found are great options too. This is just a small sampling of what they carry ladies. And there are so many more options online.
Maybe you’re looking for a heeled bootie; something to dress up a look. These are two fantastic options.
Target heeled booties

I love the buckle around the pair on the left; it just gives the boot a little more detail. Now if you don’t like that look, then maybe the boot on the right is the one for you. A small heel and a great color.
Ok, totally shifting gears but let’s touch on some more “indoor” type items. This is a Boudoir business after all, right?!
Don’t knock Target out for some sexy lingerie ladies, no matter what your size. They carry plus size items although it seems to be available online only. Let me show you some plus size pieces they have.
Target plus size lingerie

They have some gorgeous chemises, and some fantastic looking bras. Panties to match too!
Target lingerie

Some non plus size lingerie I found online is a gorgeous cut out chemise. I love the detail! A fantastic bra with great shoulder detail, and an amazing teddy. I’ve seen the teddy in person at the store ladies and it is beautiful. The price is great too at $22!
Do you wear booties ladies? What’s your favorite pair? Love some lingerie I posted? What’s your favorite? What’s your best clothing or footwear you’ve found at Target?

I wanna talk about a new trend I’ve been seeing that I adore; lacy bralettes. These cute little guys are all over but today I wanna touch on the ones available at Target. They are comfy, sexy, and inexpensive; especially when you take into account that they are currently on sale buy one get one half off.

I’m sure you’ve seen the bra’s I’m talking about. They scream summer and are great for those tank tops that are cut a bit too different for a traditional bra. Bralettes are a great choice because if you’re gonna show your bra it might as well be something cute.

Target bralette
I love that Target has some different options. The mint green has a beautiful lace detail on the racerback while the black bra can transform from a regular back to a racerback. The lace on the front is pretty as well. I like that the pink is more of a traditional bra (in case you are not a fan of lacy things!) plus the pink gives more support that a traditional bralette gives, which lets be honest, is slim to none.
One more photo of a few more I wanted to point out. Target has traditional cotton ones as well that seem to offer more support. There are more lacy options that have a little bit of a lace band under the bust, then there is also a keyhole front with a bit of sheer material.
Target bralettes

You can pretty much find any type of bralette at Target, and other stores. But let’s face it, who doesn’t have at least one Target within a 5 mile radius. What’s your favorite of the ones I’ve posted? Have you seen a favorite from somewhere else? Do you already have some and wear them? What’s your style to wear them? I wanna hear you ladies!

Sandal weather is upon us ladies (ok, maybe not looking out the window today, but it’s here!) and today I want to touch on a different kind of sandal, espadrilles.

These sandals are so versatile, and come in many different styles. There are wedges, open toe, gladiator, and even lace ups. Espadrilles can look great with any outfit.

Bright Floral

I love this look with the dress, and of course the jean jacket! Tying the color of the sandals into the necklace really helps pull a colored sandal off well.
A lace up style can look great with a simple sheath dress.
Lace Up Espadrilles

A wedge looks great with these jeans, and I love how they pull the color of the sandals into the accessories to add some color with this neutral top.

Espadrilles can be found at many stores. I did a quick search and saw them at Nordstrom, Target, Zappos, and even Amazon. Do you have a pair in your closet? Do you have a favorite style of them? What’s your favorite outfit to wear them with?

Fitness Fabulous | San Jose Boudoir Photography

Boudoir Coterie Portrait photography I’ve never been much of a New Year’s resolution person, but I do usually try to re-focus my energy towards healthier habits during this time of year. Most of this involves getting back on track with things that went out the window during the holidays (they started in July, right?). This year is especially challenging since I got married in April. I was eating really well and working out a ton up until the wedding, and I bet you can guess what happened next…

Anyway, no matter what your health and fitness goals are, if any, I find nothing makes a workout better than a cute outfit. I know this may sound incredibly shallow, but personally I think that whatever it takes to motivate yourself, so be it. For me that happens to be clothes, but I have a sneaking suspicion I’m not the only one.

Since it’s mid-January, which is right around the time the excitement of a new routine starts to wear thin, I thought I’d do a fun roundup of some fun workout clothes that might just add a bit more inspiration.

Fitness Fabulous

1. I love the idea of this longer racerback tank from Athleta. I don’t know about you, but no matter what I do my shirts are always riding up when I’m working out. This would be perfect for yoga, especially if you want a little extra coverage, and would be great for other activities too.

2. I’m a sucker for a cute bag, and I love the colors and detailing on this one, also from Athleta. It has pockets galore on the inside to keep all of your stuff organized too.

3. I actually have this cowl from Target and I really love it. I’ve been doing a lot of yoga lately and it’s perfect for pre and post workout. It feels like a big cozy sweatshirt without exactly looking like one, and you can’t beat the price.

4. What kind of boudoir site would this be if I didn’t include a fun bra and panty set? This set from Athleta is prettier than average for exercise gear and is made from super soft fabric, perfect for lower impact studio workouts.

5. I couldn’t help but include these New Balance shorts since they match everything else in the set so perfectly. Lol. Personally I’m not a big shorts wearer, but if I were, I’d totally rock these.

6. Since I’m not a big shorts wearer, I am a big capri wearer, and I love these. I’m not sure what it is, but I find capris to be the most flattering choice for workout pants, and I really like the fun ruching on the waistband of this pair.

There you have it! What’s your favorite thing to wear when you work out?

Nicole
