Fifty Shades Of Grey Boudoir | San Jose Bay Area Boudoir Photography
Yes, I went there.
I have a confession, amongst all the hype, I haven’t, wait for it… even read the book. *Hangs head in shame* But here’s the thing… after this shoot I have to say, curiosity has gotten the best of me and I am breaking down and purchasing it for my Kindle. I am intrigued. Especially after the discussion came up in a forum of fellow boudoir photographers who described scenes that would be cool to try and replicate and that the few images I shared with them were too “clean”. LOL. So as you look through these images please remember that this was simply a Fifty Shades of Grey inspired shoot. Not meant to replicate, nothing too dark, nothing too racy because after all this is a public access site. 😉 I wanted the essence of 50 Shades, a hint if you will, of sexy meets a little naughty with lots left to the imagination. It’s was fun to get to play and my Coterie Girl, Andrea. She was awesome, beautiful and willing. Yay!
This wasn’t just about a sexy book however, but also a shoot meant to experiment in the new San Jose Studio space(which is so close to being finished I can taste it). We shot at sunset and I had the opportunity to play with gorgeous sun flare through the windows and even my lights, which I am not a huge fan of using but I always enjoy experimenting and despite my hesitations I end up liking the results. Wow, run on sentence much? Hahaha. Alas I will always be a natural light lover at heart. This session was fun, sexy and playful and I am loving the results and maybe, just maybe, it will inspired some clients to test out their 50 Shades ideas at a session! *Wink, wink, nudge, nudge*
Oh, oh, oh one last thing, many of these outfits are from Besos (black corset, bra & masks)and I am in LOVE with the ribbon bra and panties near the end. They are from a Colombian line called Ellipse( I’m so in love. ♥♥♥)and Gail is ordering these soon so head into Besos to get yours! – but save me this set, it’s on my Must Have list. 😉
There are so many images that I decided to do this gallery style, enjoy…
My apologies but this gallery has been removed… I will try to reshoot and provide even better images soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Are you ready to get your Fifty Shades of Grey on?
I have limited session spaces between now and Christmas and oh what a deliciously naughty little gift that would be for someone special. 😉

Absolutely stunning!!
Love the shoot…too tame as your friends said but you do need to walk that fine line. And, no, you are not the only one who hasn’t read the series. Here are my favorites: One, Nine, Fourteen, and Nineteen (my favorite lingerie of the shoot too). If I had to narrow it down to four it would be those four. As always, love your work!
Thanks Cat and 19 might just be my very favorite, but I have a hard time narrowing them down. LOL.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I love so many of these photos – fantastic work, and what a beautiful woman!
PS – I still have to read the books too…
The light is gorgeous! Love the lace over the eyes. HOT!
So gorgeous! Nine & nineteen are my favorites. I love the lace butterfly mask.
Fantastic, Danea! I really love that you experimented with a new kind of lighting for you. They turned out really great!
Love! These are so sexy yet still super classy. Well done!
I love #12, 13, 16, 19 and 20. I hope you can take my pic one day
WOW!!! Simply stunning!!! You did a great job! My favorites are # 7, 13, 14 & 15. I’m still hoping that one day you will be able to take my portraits…I would love to look and feel as beautiful as your girls do!
Where to begin…
First off, congrats on trying something new! From doing a shoot in the evening and working with different lighting techniques to trying a new “theme.”
Personally, I really like the use of different lighting- makes for fun variety!
As far as those who say the images are too tame for “50 shades of grey”:
It’s 50 shades inspired! It’s not supposed to re-create any scenes in the book (that would have required a male model and a variety of props and sets you probably didn’t just have lying around) and probably have looked a little too softcore porn to be a pretty, classy, yet still hot and sexy boudoir shoot that we have come to know, love and expect from Boudoir Coterie. Honestly, I think fans of Boudoir Coterie appreciate the continued committment to making clients feel comfortable and classy while doing something sexy! Making images too risque-especially advertising images made for the internet (not for personal use) runs the risk of damaging your reputation. I think you did a great job!
My favorites are: 1, 2, 9, 16, 18, 19, & 20
Props to you on your continued creativity in boudoir shoots!
VERY SEXY!!
