And you don’t always have to be half naked to do so…
Last Saturday was girls night out- celebrating one of life’s milestones with some friends. The past couple months I have had a renewed boost in my self confidence. I really can’t explain where it has come from, but I speculate it’s rubbed off from clients and socializing with fellow boudoir photographers. I have been witnessing shy, nervous and sometimes insecure woman who become so freed when behind the camera. They seem too exude sex appeal when they doubted they had any at all. They are always pleasantly surprised and often down right excited when they see their final images. The most common response: “I can’t believe that’s me!” and I always assure them that yes, it really is them in all their sexy glory. I think this is what has made me realize that I too have not lost my sexiness, despite running after two small boys with their perpetual snot noses, dirty diapers and mucky hands. Nor has my husband lost his desire for me- an extra bonus. Haha. I have been hitting the gym, dressing up more and generally wanting to be at my best. It’s amazing how much better I feel with just a simple change in mind set. The best part of all this new found sexiness? I feel like a newly wed again. 😉
I’ve also done a little shopping lately- lost almost 15lbs which justifies a new outfit in my books. I found this awesome pair of funky leopard print boots at Nordstrom Rack for $44(Regular $189 Sah-weeeeet deal!). If you have taken the time to read my About page, then you will know that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and have some messed up feet- thus I am unable to wear heals. However my stubbornness prevailed with these puppies and with some insole finagling I managed to rock these bad boys all night long!

Shirt- Nordstom Rack- This will look super sexy in a boudoir shoot with nothing underneath, but for my going out purposes I felt the black tank would be more appropriate, I’m sure my hubby would agree. Hahaha.

Boots- Cole Haan at Nordstrom Rack. They are actually fur but you can’t really see that in the shot or the fact that they end right behind my hem line.
So there ya have it, me, getting out for some girly fun and feeling awesome. I dare you all to do something today that makes you feel sexy and confident. Whether it’s putting on some makeup, wearing those jeans that make your ass look phenomenal, or simply sending your significant other a little love note. Do it- you are worth it!
