We have had a fabulous year and I am looking forward to all the wonderful tushies that I will have the opportunity to photograph in 2014!

Welcome to another installment of Tushy Tuesday.
Today we have a sweet and sexy image of the lovely Miss L. It reminds me of a lazy warm summer Sunday morning. However, today I am cold and even have my cozy blanket wrapped around my legs. I’m not complaining but I kind of want to hand her a warm flannel sheet. Hahaha.

Beauty Mini Portrait Sessions
I have often been asked if I will do head shots. I haven’t done them in the past because of the amount of time and expenses that goes into such a short session. However I have teamed up with my amazing makeup Artist, Moni, and we have designated two days only for you ladies to do a mini portrait session. You can wear that favorite dress or gown, go casual, or keep it for business head shots. It’s completely up to you but now you have no more excuses to not have some stunning images taken!

A few weeks ago I posted Part I of Benefits of Bridal Boudoir, and If you don’t already have enough reasons to get your engaged self in front of the camera, here are a few more!
4. Mastering Makeup
If you’re not used to wearing much makeup, but are planning to on your wedding day, having your makeup done for your boudoir shoot is good practice. I hadn’t spent much time wearing false eyelashes, but was planning to wear them for my wedding, so it was nice to get used to them during my boudoir shoot. Also, while my boudoir makeup was a bit too dramatic for my wedding day, I loved how it was done and shared some photos with my wedding makeup artist for inspiration. It was great to have an idea of what works well with my features.
5. Major Confidence Boost
Okay, so this was the biggest one for me. During the process of planning my wedding, I tried as hard as possible to remain cool, calm and collected. While I felt like I nailed that for the most part, there was one area that drove me crazy — my appearance. I dwelled on every little thing. I feared fat rolls showing through my dress and obsessed over the perfect shade of lipstick (just ask the sales lady at the MAC counter). I spent days agonizing about picking the right sparkly sash to go with my dress and I nearly had a panic attack when I realized the top of my dress was too big and not much could be done about it. Needless to say, I was obsessed with my appearance. While I don’t think I’m normally much more critical of myself than the average woman, something about being a bride seriously heightened my self doubt.
Going into my  session, I had no idea how much it would help my self esteem, but seeing my fabulous photos changed everything. I realized that if I could look beautiful in my underwear, I would look absolutely stunning in my wedding dress. Suddenly all of the little appearance details I was stressing about didn’t matter any more.
And last, but not least…
6. Your Partner’s Reaction
There are so many awesome reasons to have a bridal boudoir photo shoot, with this one being the most obvious. I saved it for last so that you could really focus on what you might not have already known, but this is a biggie too!
My husband had absolutely no idea what I was up to and his reaction to my album was truly priceless! I chose to give him his album during our “first look†before the ceremony and I had my photographer close by for the big reveal. I have to admit, the photos of his reaction are some of my favorites from the wedding. I also really loved being able to give him something that was so unique and personal. I don’t think my husband even knew boudoir photography was a “thing†before, so it was the ultimate surprise.

This fabulous tush belongs to a newlywed. Pretty sure that her groom loved his album. 😉 He def’ wouldn’t have had cold feet after seeing this, he was probably at the alter tapping his foot and watching the clock long before anyone else arrived. LOL.

The SF Ultimate Women’s Expo… what a ride!
This was my very first time having a booth at an expo and I can say that it is both a lot of work and SO much fun! I met lots of amazing women too. Thanks to all the ladies that stopped in to say hello and find out a little more about Boudoir Coterie. I also want to thank my fabulous hubby who put in so much time and effort and gave up his weekends to help build that booth frame. I’m crushing on him big time right now. 😉 I also want to thank my amazing team; Regina, Nicole and Kristina(2013 Signature Coterie Girl) and awesome friend, Devon for doing such a fabulous job working the booth and answering all the questions everyone had. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you all so THANK YOU!! ♥
I will admit the girls and I had a few chuckles at those gals who stopped to look and then suddenly realized what we did– and then would giggle and blush. The other highlights were the dance off I had with the guy in the booth across the aisle, being told by multiple people that we had the nicest booth(Thank you!), pouncing on unsuspecting women as they walked by just to hand them a free pen and note pad. They would jump and then laugh… hey sometimes things get a little dull sitting in the booth so one must find a way to entertain themselves. Hahaha. But what surprised me most of all was when a young lady and her mother stopped by to say that they came to the expo to hear me speak. I never imagined that anyone would care that much to hear little ol’ me talk about myself, my life and living with a chronic illness. I had a few ladies approach me after I spoke, teary eyed and smiling. I felt so honored to have met them all and to have had that opportunity to tell a bit of my story. I did have a friend record it and I had full intention to upload and share but unfortunately I have no idea how to get it off the 3 inch dvd as it will not play on my computer alone nor while plugged into the handy cam. 🙁 But as soon as I can figure something out I will post it to share!
Here are some images of the booth, I will admit, we had much more fabric to hang but we ran out of time… I am also annoyed that the swag is uneven in these pictures but rest assured I fixed it at the expo. *snort*

Most common question asked: “Do you supply that guy for couple shoots?” Oh Leslie, your hubby was a hit! Hahaha
