The Perfect Panty

With so many different wardrobe choices for a boudoir shoot, it could be a bit overwhelming. To help you make the best decision we’ll focus on one attribute at a time.

It’s all about showing off your best assets and being comfortable in your own skin. The particular asset we are showing off today is the posterior and the beautiful panties that could go on it. Yes, there are still so many choices, but at least all we have to worry about is that terrific tush!

There is a panty for every personality; let’s find yours.

Lace Up Panties

Weather they lace from the front or the back, this ethereal design is always flattering and flirty with a breath of elegance. It comes in an unending array of colors, styles, and fabrics.

Sporty Panties

Motherhood is many things, and yes sexy is one of them. Here are some sizzling ideas for your boudoir maternity session. Each look is unique and fits for every woman’s comfort and personality.

A bodysuit is a super cute look for any photo shoot, especially a maternity shoot. No matter what style, cozy or dramatic, you will love how a bodysuit makes every curve look.

Gowns are elegant, classy and very chic. This style is one of the most used looks for these sessions and with its simple design with delicate fabrics one could look like a glamorous Goddess in every picture.

Still wanna rock your extra sexy bra and panties set? You can still wear his favorite sexy lace or satin lingerie without sacrificing comfort.

And my personal favorite is the classic chemise. No matter the style, color or fabric this simple flirty lingerie dress will always achieve the snugness you need for your exciting boudoir maternity photo shoot.

Valentine’s Day is here and now you have to figure out what to wear for Date Night. But it doesn’t just end there. You have to also think of the Night Cap. These awesome styles are focused on putting the two events in your evening together. Your night never has to pause when it’s time to slip into something more comfortable.

Red is the classic and powerful color that represents attraction. And red is similar to black, in that it matches well with most any color. Increase the seductive nature of this lustful shade with a soft fur coat wrapped around you. When the night ends drape your curves in lace. A promise of playful romping goes without saying.

Lighter colors often achieve a different kind of seductive side. It softens the person with its delicate hue. Smoother shades of pink, champagne, or even white are optimal for bringing an innocence to the evening. To ensure complete perfection silky materials are a must in this. Don’t forget to toast as the night falls on a flawless date.

It’s important to bring the real you out in your session. If that means your not a satin gal, great! Sometimes just a simple knit sweater or a cute cotton pantie does the trick. Cozy styles allow you to be relaxed and elegant, fun loving and seductive. It can be just as colorful, playful and creative as even the sexiest lingerie. Because, in the end, it’s about having fun.

Miss O is one great example of a simple open knit sweater look making everything seem so comfortable yet sexy. One could not resist being drawn in by her deep gaze. Another wonderful example is Miss M and her plush sweater paired with adorable leg warmers. Head to toe she looks as soft as a cloud.

Miss E is showing her playful side with her color choice along with pairing a comfy cotton tee and lace panties. She feels at ease and confident which shows in her smile. Miss F embraces a little more of a seductive side to her cozy style with a full lace lingerie set simply paired with a lovely cotton cardigan. Her casual elegance shows through perfectly.

Miss C and Miss K step it up a notch in the creative department and show proudly their unique personalities through their outfits. Miss C gives you her superhero side with her Superman socks. Vintage never goes out of style, especially in the boudoir. And capturing this sexy elegance in a photo is as old as photography itself. And to look sexy for your love is even older. As old as time. The evolution of these delicate undergarments have a long history, but styles are often repeated and made better through the ages. As times change and needs of the boudoir do, so to must lingerie.

Victorians were not as stuck up as one would think. They knew how to have fun and dress for the occasion, even in private. For the modern Victorian look a touch of lace here, a neck-full of pearls there and a breathtaking corset is all you need

By the 1920’s women were not only politically free but a little more sexually free and their less constricting often more revealing lingerie was a sign of the times. Even the music in the bedroom became more exciting with Jazz.

As Hollywood grew in popularity so did the need for looking like a star in the bedroom. Even with WWII taking all the silk, that didn’t stop the ladies from wearing the most glamorous looks! (Thank You Nylon)

Can you imagine the 1950’s being sexy? Well, the truth is some of the sexiest styles we still use today came from the 1950’s. It has become the most copied look for vintage lingerie.

So if you feel like you were born in the wrong era…there’s lingerie for that!

What to Wear Wednesday | Milpitas San Jose Bay Area Boudoir Photographer

We’re gonna bring it back to a little bit of boudoir today ladies, after all that is Danea’s specialty!

Everyone has their own style, likes and dislikes. I try to tailor my posts to everyone and give various ideas about how to wear a style to compliment all the different body types out there. If I am featuring something that is plus size, don’t discount using the premise of what I’m showing to tailor an outfit for yourself; same goes for the other way. Use the base of what I’m saying to try new things, pair new pieces of your wardrobe, or go for that style you’re on the fence about.

Leather can be a fun style to wear for your boudoir shoot. The great thing is that you don’t necessarily have to incorporate it into your lingerie, you can pull it in with your accessories.

You can do a fantastic leather bustier or bra paired with a leather skirt, or even some black cotton panties. If you don’t like the idea of wearing leather, what about bringing some leather boots to your shoot? What’s on your feet can be almost as important as your choice of lingerie.

A leather jacket is a fun item to bring too.

Fashion Friday | Mountain View Sunnyvale Bay Area Boudoir Photographer

Sometimes it can be difficult to find lingerie that isn’t trendy or in style at the moment. These trends and styles don’t necessarily fit into everyone’s taste or even comfort level. So, have you ever thought about purchasing your lingerie from Etsy? Yup, I’m serious. These are hand made items and I can *almost* guarantee that with enough browsing you will find something that you will love. There are so many suggestions for lingerie when you search. Plus size, bridal, erotic, sexy and so many other suggestions to help you find what you are looking for.

Let me share some of my favorites I have found.

If you are looking for a bra and panty set, these ones caught my eye.

I love how the top right reminds me of a peacock; this is something different and really unique. The other two have a vintage feel to them. I love the satin and gorgeous jewel toned of the purple set and how the black set is a high waisted panty with that detail of the lace at the hip.

You know how I’m always talking about details really making the piece, I love the detail on these pieces.

Look at the buttons on the top left set! It is the tiniest addition that can upgrade an outfit, even lingerie. The tiny little bows on the other pieces and the mix of fabrics is gorgeous detail too.

Etsy even has some gorgeous vintage pieces if today’s styles aren’t your cup of tea.

I wasn’t kidding when I said I can *almost* guarantee you will find something that suites you, whether it be for your upcoming boudoir shoot or for private eyes in your bedroom. Take a look around and show me what you found that you love. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.
