Tushy Tuesday | Santa Cruz Boudoir Photographer

It’s that time of week! This very sexy, classy, client of mine came in for a special session and because she was a past client I was excited to get her email and hear about her ideas for another shoot in our San Jose studio. It was all about the tattoo! We had some fun with nice, seductive shots, and then we added a little naughty. *wink, wink* How hot is this!? Almost every single shot was a back shot and it was SO MUCH FUN! I was very thankful when she allowed me to share a select few, especially when this full body shot was in the mix!

Fashion Friday– Go Wild! | San Jose CA Boudoir Fashion

I cannot lie, I love animal prints. I mean I don’t wear them every day, in fact I used to have a lot more than I do now, but I think they make fabulous statement pieces when matched with colors and other subtle prints. These three outfit suggestions can suit anyone’s style. Whether you want bold, in your face animal print sexy, or just that hint of wild, these are all fabulous and flirty looks that would be amazing to photograph.

P.S. Animal prints go with ANY color! I love the purple orchid shown here but turquoise, green, red or even a rich black would look amazing, so accent with your favorite color to help customize you look!

I think I need to get a few leopard accessories in our San Jose studio!

Confessions of a Boudoir Photographer | San Jose Bay Area Portrait Photographer

Confessions of a boudoir photographer:

It’s time to have a little fun and since getting naked in front of a stranger can be a bit intimidating, I figure that it might help if a start sharing some small personal posts so you can get to know me better. Sometimes these might be simple random facts and other times, like today, short stories. You will find that I am a very honest person and I live my life with humor, sarcasm and laughter. Lots of laughter, or I would likely go insane. 😉 So enjoy and please watch for more “Confessions” coming soon!

Boudoir Coterie

 

Last night…

The room was dark and surprisingly cool in such a short time of the air conditioning being on. The sheets felt icy against my bare legs as I very quietly slipped into bed, trying not to wake Jeff. I carefully adjusted the sheets around me I listened to his breathing; a mix between a deep sleep and a soft snore. I smiled and turned my head towards him. My eyes had still not adjusted to the dark and I let them fall closed as I got comfortable on my back. My body melted into the mattress as I exhaled, tired, relaxed and proud of my ability to climb into bed with such stealth. I turned my face towards the ceiling and I blinked away the darkness.

As my eyes adjusted to the light I saw the outline of a dark shadowy figure crouching over me. I let out a gasp and my arms shot up to push him away! It was at this same split second that I realized… it was just the sheet popping up all weird close to my face.

It takes a special kind of person to almost give themselves a heart attack by bed sheet.

Side note: Apparently, if you surprise me in the dark, I WILL start swinging.

I enjoy incorporating personal items into a shoot. Clients often bring in an item that we can use for a full set– like a jersey or dress shirt. Other times the items only require a few fun shots.

I have a feeling this image will have him taking a swig. I mean dang girl, that’s one fine tush! 😉

Tushy Tuesday | San Mateo Boudoir Photographer

It’s that time of the week when we celebrate the tush. Women seem to love either love their tush or hate their tush and my goal is to show clients how fabulous their tush can be! It’s not something we get to admire ourselves and when we do, it is often from unflattering mirrored angles. This is why I always try to capture a great tush shot when a client comes in for a photo shoot. Why not? You’re here in the studio, you rarely get to admire your own butt and it’s very likely your significant other has, so why not have that shot that makes you say “Damn, that IS a mighty fine ass!?” Hahaha

Last week I posted a VIDEO about my new favorite tushy pose and today’s shot is just a slight angle variation of said pose.

Pamper Spa and Fun Photo shoots | San Jose Boudoir Photographer

Today was fun. I did my first “commercial” shoot working with a local mobile spa called Pamper. They have a cool Mobile app!

All you have to do is download the app, book the service you want and they will come to you! I’m excited to not only be working with them in the way of marketing photos but also to add their services to some of my own promotions, including two special announcements in the video below. Tushy Tuesday | San Jose Bay Area Boudoir Photo Shoot

Yeah, I have been slacking on the Tushy Tuesdays, please forgive me. I am hoping that this sexy tush will make up for it. She got this adorable garter belt skirt from Besos in Los Gatos. It has the matching bra too, which isn’t so important in this shot but comes into play in others! Luckily you’ll get to see more of this fabulous bridal session soon and this will be one grooms gift that he will remember forever!!! Lucky dog!

No Excuses! | San Jose Bay Area Boudoir Photography

Finally!

Early last year I had a few ideas for some promo videos. Unfortunately they have sat on the back burner for months and months. Finally, just over a week ago I realized that now was the time and I had the perfect person for my first shoot. I gave a past client, Miss F a call. It has been a year since she graced my studio but she had given me a full release and I figured she might be game. I pitched her my idea and what it would require from her(you’ll see), she laughed, paused and then agreed. Yay! We got together at the Boudoir Coterie San Jose Studio on Tuesday morning and with the help of my lovely assistant, Devon, shot everything we needed to make this happen. Of course the artist in me kept thinking of so many more things I could have done with this during the creation process but I am pretty dang thrilled with how it turned out!

This is the first video from my “No Excuses” campaign which will address some of the reasons I hear from women as to why they “can’t” book.

Can you guess what this video is addressing? Hahaha

So without further adieu, my video promo debut!
