With so many different wardrobe choices for a boudoir shoot, it could be a bit overwhelming. To help you make the best decision we’ll focus on one attribute at a time.

It’s all about showing off your best assets and being comfortable in your own skin. The particular asset we are showing off today is the posterior and the beautiful panties that could go on it. Yes, there are still so many choices, but at least all we have to worry about is that terrific tush!

There is a panty for every personality; let’s find yours.

Lace Up Panties

Weather they lace from the front or the back, this ethereal design is always flattering and flirty with a breath of elegance. It comes in an unending array of colors, styles, and fabrics.

Sporty Panties

Cozy and casual can be sexy and seductive. Sporty styles not only give you unbelievable comfort, but it also lifts you in the most flattering places. It makes you feel as flexible as an acrobat and most importantly it will make you feel free and at ease, while doing killer poses.

Motherhood is many things, and yes sexy is one of them. Here are some sizzling ideas for your boudoir maternity session. Each look is unique and fits for every woman’s comfort and personality.

A bodysuit is a super cute look for any photo shoot, especially a maternity shoot. No matter what style, cozy or dramatic, you will love how a bodysuit makes every curve look.

Gowns are elegant, classy and very chic. This style is one of the most used looks for these sessions and with its simple design with delicate fabrics one could look like a glamorous Goddess in every picture.

Still wanna rock your extra sexy bra and panties set? You can still wear his favorite sexy lace or satin lingerie without sacrificing comfort.

And my personal favorite is the classic chemise. No matter the style, color or fabric this simple flirty lingerie dress will always achieve the snugness you need for your exciting boudoir maternity photo shoot.

Sexy Accessories | San Jose San Francisco Bay Area Boudoir Photography

When doing a boudoir photo shoot keep it unique and keep it about you. It’s time for that sexy side to sizzle. The best way to do that is through accessories, but you never want to over accessorize simply because IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU!! There are so many fun ways to do this that will not take away from that perfect shot!

Let’s go from top to bottom!

Hats are a great start. Often times you can play with a lot of different close-up shots. And there is a hat for every look and every type. Everything from a big Hollywood glamor look to a rustic cowgirl look, you’d be surprised about its versatility.

Now, personally, I am not a hat person. I’m not the only one either. But I can’t help but love a good headpiece of some kind. A great flapper style headband adorned with ornate fabrics and designs is one option that will enhance every picture.

Tiaras and different bejeweled hair accessories are essential for the perfect boudoir bridal photo. The tiara is best when worn with an elegant veil, but is just as stunning by itself to make your inner princess come to life.

But I can’t resist just keeping it simple and sexy with flowers in the hair. You can have a single rose sitting delicately on one side or have an entire arrangement placed throughout your hair of any flower you wish.

Make a statement with an alluring mask. Entice those who look to stare deep into your eyes and become mesmerized. Be as subtle or as decorative as you wish with this fanciful accessory.

Chokers are the sexiest types of necklaces. It hugs the neck with elegant styles and materials that make this ever sensual part of your body look longer and more delicate.

Pearls are as simple as can be along with being as sexy as ever. Pearls pair well with every boudoir outfit, but it is even more desirable when it stands alone. Wear it close to your neck like a choker, wrap it with layers around your neck, or wear them long as the pearls follow down the center of your body.

Go big and rocker with various types of draped chain. Gold is another personal favorite and letting the layers drape long and proud down every curve is so sexy.

One option, if you are not into a chain like I am but still want to make a big statement, is to go with big colorful beaded pieces. The more colorful the better!

But who could resist a wonderful jewelry set being the only outfit you wear. Let your jewels inspire the sexy in you.

And what better to match with your exquisite jewels than a stunning fluffy fur stole or fur coat. It can be faux or no, colorful or simple, and always soft to the touch.

Add a silky touch of something extra sexy with a pair of luxurious gloves. With such choices as lace, chiffon or satin, how could you not look glamorous? Have them long and simple or short and decorative to show off a unique you.

Fans are the most beguiling accessory and always makes for a fabulous photo. Even more so than then any hat, the fan can be a great prop for a captivating close-up like no other.

Body chains are the sexiest trend in boudoir accessories and with as many styles as there are ways to wear them you can not go wrong. When used for a photo shoot it often highlights the most arousing features.

Belts can also be a great addition to your choice of outfit. With a corset waist belt, you can cheat! You have the same classic look of a corset without having to lose your breath or deal with to many ties.

Chain belts are another great way to enhance your outfit and give you an edgy look that snugs closely and enhances your racy side.

Garters! Need I say more? And with so many styles to choose you can be anything from a blushing bride to subtle hints of s&m, however the mood strikes you.

Stockings? What’s more risque than stockings held up with a classic garter belt? It’s that vintage look that will never go out of style because it is so perfect, especially for a boudoir shoot.

You’re going to need one sexy pair of pumps to really make your stockings complete. Any color, any style and however high you want them is the best way to make your luscious legs reach to the stars.

But it’s not the only way to make your legs look spectacular. Boots! The higher the thigh the better! Make them look even more scandalous by wearing only your boots during your session.

From head to toe and everything in between, make sure the true sexy vixen that exists within every pearl clutching lady shines brighter than a diamond.

Beauty Beyond Breast Cancer | San Jose Bay Area Boudoir Portrait Studio

Today I am honored to share a post from a recent client. She is strong, courageous and very brave.

This is her story:

My name is Daniella C. my journey started back in July of 2016. I went to El Centro for my grandfathers funeral. When I was there I found out breast cancer was pretty heavy on my dad’s side, but I didn’t know how far down the family line it went. My father passed in 2015 from Gastric Cancer at the age of 59. Hearing of the breast cancer frequency, I began asking questions. I spoke with a cousin that I met as a small child and we got to talking. She let me know that my grandma and great grandma on dad’s side both passed of breast cancer. She also informed me that we had a first cousin pass at 32 from breast cancer. Then she told me her sister is beating it right now at the age of 38. I knew right there I needed to get checked. My cousin then informed me that her sisters doctor suggested that ALL first cousin women and men should be test for the the BRCA gene. I asked my cousin if she had been tested? She said no because her doctor told her she was too young. We continued to talk and I found out that there is frequency of colon cancer on my mom’s side also. With all this new family cancer knowledge, I began my research.

When I returned home I explained my findings to my husband. He told me to reach out to my OBGYN and start from there. I did my first mammogram in October 2016 and everything was normal. After speaking with my OBGYN we also decided for me to talk to a genetic specialist. The genetic specialist started my family tree for cancer. We went through the whole list of all the people in my family that had cancer. After this whole processes she came back and said you aren’t that high of a RISK. But in my Gut I knew I was. I explained to her I wanted the BRCA test done because of the recommendation of my first cousin’s doctor. She told me that if I can get her the genetic test my cousin took, she would test me also.

At this point I reached out to my cousin and asked if she could pass my contact information to her sister and to please have her call me. I was so nervous because she was battling cancer and I wasn’t sure if she would even want to reach out. Well, one day I received a message through Facebook and it was my cousin with breast cancer. I was so happy she was willing to speak with me! We got to talking and I explained to her everything that was happening. She was so happy and loving and she sent me her test results within 2 days. I couldn’t believe it and was so thankful. As we all know, not everyone is so forth coming on personal situations.

At this point I emailed the genetic specialist at Kaiser and information she needed. The next day she contacted me by phone. By now this was December 2016. She told me all I had to do is go in and have my blood drawn and the results would come back in 3 weeks. This was right before my 36 birthday that I did the test. The first week of January of 2017 I got that call while at work. The genetic specialist told me I was BRCA1 positive. My heart sank into my stomach and the first thing I asked was what about my children? She told me all my children would have to be tested at the age of 18. I have a son who is 21 but does not want to get tested yet. My other 2 children are 13 (daughter) 7 (son).

Hearing those words I knew right away I would have to take action and do something. At this point I knew I was high risk for breast AND ovarian cancer. 85% for breast and 40-50% for ovarian cancer. My life was about to change in a very big way. I started the journey of appointment after appointment and doctor after doctor. I was scared and nervous about the decisions to be made but with the support of my husband and kids I knew I could do this. After all the appointments and getting a MRI which I requested, they found a mass in my right breast. I was so scared. I had a ultrasound and biopsy of the breast and it came back benign. One thing I can say going through all this right here is stick with your GUT!

At this point I knew the best thing to do was surgery to remove my breast. They told me a mastectomy would reduce my chance of breast cancer from 85% to less then 5%. Right there this was a no brainer for me. I finally decided on the date of 5/25/2017. I also decided to have a double mastectomy with diep flap reconstruction. This was by far the biggest decision in my entire LIFE, but I knew if I didn’t, I had a high chance of dying from cancer. As a mother/wife/daughter/sister telling your family you have CANCER is something NO one would ever want to say.

I was gifted this mini photo shoot by my Tia. It was the best thing I did before my surgery. I would have never done this for myself, and after I did this shoot, it really sunk in; in a couple of weeks my breast would be gone. A part of me for 36 years, would be gone. They breast fed my children and of course comforted my husband hahaha. This new journey I was about to embark on was overwhelming to say the least.

It is now post surgery. I have new breasts but with no nipples and not so nice scars, however, I AM CANCER FREE. WOOOHOOO! My photo reveal was post op and was very emotional. I looked at myself and was like WOW, these are beautiful pictures. Then I looked down and said to myself WOW, I am STILL beautiful! Once I am healed, I will definitely be doing another with Danea. Every women should do a shoot in her lifetime. We as women need to embrace ourselves and love ourselves with all the flaws we have.

As a women we need to know our BODIES and always stick to our gut. If I didn’t I could be sitting here now, with cancer. PLEASE listen to your body and research the BRCA gene. I am so happy I did.

The loss of breasts does not make you less of a woman, but it’s a changing body, a loss. And with any loss, there is a sadness, a mourning, a change. How To Feel Sexy | San Jose Bay Area Boudoir Portrait Photographer

Sometimes you need to be shown how beautiful you are…

All women struggle with feeling beautiful and confident. There are so many things in life that get in our way, change how we feel or how we look and sometimes we need a little reminder. I had the gorgeous Miss D in for a session a couple months ago. She was nervous but excited. She allowed us to play with her adorable pixie cut for some playful spikes, it looked fabulous on her! We raided the studio wardrobe for this elegant dress and a sparkly necklace. The low cut front and leg slits showed off all her gorgeous assets. She looked amazing and as always I love to see the transformation from shy and nervous to confident and strong. Miss D has it going on!

This dress is a studio piece and looks amazing on!

Next, we got a little playful with this sexy little number, also a studio piece. We paired it with this gorgeous mask for the perfect match.

Seduction. When you feel beautiful, it can happen without even trying.

Miss D is wonderfully tall, perfectly shown off in this image. What you don’t see in this set is how much we laughed throughout her session. Some of these poses are not the most natural. Hahaha Modeling can be hard, but it can be rewarding also. After showing Miss D a few images on the back of the camera she did her best not to cry with excitement. I was able to show her how stunningly beautiful she is. To me, that has greater value than the images alone. I know I have said this a lot but there is so much more to a Boudoir Coterie photo shoot than having your picture taken, it’s an experience every woman should have. We all need to feel beautiful, sensual and confident.

Why yes, I do shoot topless, but I am not allowed to show it on my website. I think I found a way around this. 😉 If sensual images fit your style, then these sexy sheet set shots are the way to go.

Miss D was amazing and brave. For someone so nervous about being in front of the camera, she completely stepped out of her comfort zone and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Her images are stunning and sensual. the perfect portrayal of this gorgeous woman.

Fashion Friday | Campbell Los Gatos Bay Area Boudoir Photographer

Black and white make some beautiful lingerie choices. These colors look great on every skin tone and can make a statement. But what if you want to have some color? Today I’m going to share some beautiful seasonal colored lingerie to consider for your photo shoot.

Sometimes, well most of the time, red can be pretty harsh for a photo shoot. Save the red for your bedroom and choose a deep maroon. Maroon, burgundy, whatever you choose to call it the color is gorgeous and a great choice for an autumn shoot.

Another great choice for autumn is a warm chocolate brown or even possibly a gold tone. This beautiful warm color also looks great on a variety of skin tones. Look at some pieces I found.

I absolutely love the bra & panty set in the left corner. And the chocolate balconette bra in the upper right corner is gorgeous in color and the detail in the bra is fantastic. The gold/brown toned slips are beautiful and scream fall, and I love the racerback on the long slip.
